I just got done repairing an old refractor telescope and wanted to test it out. Seeing as how I have gotten 3 clear nights in the past 5 weeks, I decided to go with something that would not need a large exposure, therefore the moon was my first choice. (There were patchy clouds this night as well).
This was taken using a Canon XT 350D at prime focus on a f/11.1 refractor telescope (Focal Length: 1000mm, Aperture: 90mm) which was piggybacked on a 20" Ritchey-Chretien. |

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
